Capital Planning

The Office of Business & Financial Planning is responsible for assisting units with the financial component of the capital planning process. Business & Financial Planning staff will evaluate the most appropriate financial plan and funding model for each project over $100,000. The funding model is broken down into the following categories:

• Bond or debt financing
• Departmental or discretional funds
• Capital improvement funds
• Gift or grant funds
• Strategic partnerships

The Office of Business & Financial Planning will track and manage the funding process, as well as ultimately being responsible for ensuring that all funding approvals are in place prior to project commencement.
