Randy became a pilot for KU Aviation Services in November of 1999. He comes from a family of pilots and has been involved in aviation since his birth. He obtained his pilot’s license a year after his driver’s license. He has flown many airplanes and built two high-performance home-built aircraft before flying professionally in 1994. He furthered his experience in aviation by becoming an airframe and power plant mechanic and chief pilot of a Part 135 operation before coming to KU. Along with his pilot duties, Randy is responsible for aircraft maintenance and hangar operations.
